A Labor of Love
Few periods in life are as intense as the transition into motherhood. The intensity of labor takes all of your focus. As a doula, my goal will be to uphold your wishes to their fullest extent. I will be by your side throughout the process and have you as my priority. Your physical needs, emotional needs and your birth desires.
Labor can be intimating, especially when it is uncharted territory. I will share knowledge with you to help you prepare as much as you would like. I will ensure you have the information to make informed decisions with preparation prenatally and real time prompts. I will be there for each and every step of the journey.
This is your birth and your journey into parenthood. I am here to hold space for you to have the birth you want. I am there as a guide.

Postpartum Doulas can help!
Postpartum doulas take a holistic approach. This looks like an individualized plan for you, your baby and your whole family. Labor, delivery, and postpartum are full of the unpredictable, so we surround you with a supportive network to take care of all the things - from your emotional wellbeing to your laundry pile.
Birth Doula Support
Birth support begins in the prenatal period. We will discuss your ideas of birth, the role of the doula and make a birth plan. Your birth will be attended through delivery. A postpartum visit will allow for birth debrief.
Birth Doula services include:
- Two in person prenatal visits to prepare for labor
- Evidence-based information and referrals to local resources
- Phone, email, text support throughout the pregnancy
- Access to lending library of books about pregnancy, labor, postpartum and parenting
- 24/7 support during the on call period (38-42+ weeks)
- Labor support starting when requested, meeting at home or at the birth location
- Support for the first few hours postpartum to ensure the family unit is settled in and the first feed has occurred
- An in home postpartum visit to check in and discuss the birth experience
Cost of services is $1000

Postpartum Doula Care
We provide in-home postpartum doula support to families in the South Lyon area for the first 8-12 weeks after your baby is born.
Postpartum doula services include:
- One prenatal visit to create a plan for support
- Education + evidence-based information on recovery, newborn care, and feeding
- Light meal preparation so you stay hydrated and nourished
- Light household chores like errands, dishes & laundry
- Care for baby while you take time to nap and shower
- Connection to local and online resources as needed
Postpartum doula support services can last anywhere from a few visits to more than 3 months. I'll develop a customized plan for you.

Breast Feeding support
In-home lactation support is included in our postpartum doula services, to help with:
- Issues with baby’s latch
- Healing sore nipples
- Milk supply issues
- Feeding positions
- Milk storage
- Pumping
- Referral to local lactation resources/support groups
